St John's Co-Cathedral i Valletta

St John's Co-Cathedral (maltesisk: Kon-Katidral ta' San Ġwann) er en romerskkatolsk co-katedral i Valletta på Malta, der er dedikeret til Johannes Døberen. Den blev opført af Johanniterordenen mellem 1572 og 1577, efter at være blevet bestilt af stormester Jean de la Cassière som Conventual Church of Saint John (maltesisk: Knisja Konventwali ta' San Ġwann).

For those wondering a cathedral is a church run by a bishop. A co-cathedral is one of multiple churches run by a single bishop. A basilica is a church which has been granted extra rights by the pope.

one of the most impressive religious places in the world. excellent audio guide. 2 hours needed minimum. but you can spend 4 without problems. interesting about complex malta religion history.
